Director of COER
Will Zwikelmaier obtained his Bachelor in Music Education from Central Methodist University in May of 2006 and his Masters of Education degree from Central Methodist University - St. Louis in December of 2016. He is currently pursuing his Educational Doctorate in STEM Leadership at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Previous to joining the COER team in August of 2018, Will worked in public education as a music educator, at Apple as a Creative teaching music recording software, and in higher education leading in the fields of Adult Education, Student Diversity and Women’s Programs, Human Resources, Global Learning and Educational Technology. Will’s priority as the Director of the COER is to make sure each and every student gets the best opportunity to start their career path off on the correct foot and to share with employers all over the globe the exponential benefits to hiring S&T Miners to help their businesses grow and thrive.
Assistant Director of COER
Lauren Hatfield obtained her Bachelor of Art in Communications from Central Methodist University in May of 2012, and graduated with her Master of Science in Performance Improvement from Grantham University in 2014. Previous to joining the COER team in June of 2016, Lauren worked within higher education in the field of Student Advising.
Business Support Specialist
Jessica Boles is obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and she joined COER in July of 2017. She works primarily with the financial aspects of the department, including payroll and travel arrangements, and provides assistance regarding the director’s schedule and preparing for meetings. She coordinates the graduating students’ career outcomes reports and compiles data for the yearly starting salary statistics. She interacts with faculty, staff, employers, and other constituents regarding data requests and COER statistics. She enjoys the interaction with the students, faculty, and staff of Missouri S&T.
Office Support Assistant
Amy Jernigan is a May 2018 graduate of Cottey College. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She joined the COER team in June, 2018. Her primary roles are scheduling appointments, provide advice to students regarding HireMiners, coordinate practice interviews, assist with campus-side committees, and handle the marketing aspects for the department through social media, flyers, and bulletin boards. Outside of COER, Amy loves spending time with her friends and family, watching Netflix, and cooking. She enjoys the interaction with the students, faculty, and staff of Missouri S&T. She wants to one day pursue a Master’s degree in Career Counseling.
Recruiting Assistant (A-M)
After completing her B.S. in Animal Sciences from Missouri State, and working in diverse industries – from insurance to agriculture – Sara found COER as her home base in 2006. Sara loves working with students and staff, but her favorite part of her job is forming friendships with employers over the years. Her primary roles are acting as administrator for HireMiners, scheduling on-site interviews, responding to the diverse needs of employers, coordinating the Career Fair, and reporting employer recruit annually and end-of-semester. Sara is a 19th century history buff who loves to be outside doing yard work and landscaping. She is also an avid fan of AMC’s The Walking Dead.
Recruiting Assistant (N-Z)
Jordan Barber is a December 2017 graduate of Missouri State University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies. In May of 2018 Jordan joined the COER team as the Recruiting Assistant for employers N-Z. Her primary roles are managing HireMiners for employers N-Z, scheduling on-site interviews, coordinating recruiting events, and responding to the diverse needs of employers. Outside of COER, Jordan is an elephant enthusiast who loves traveling and spending time outdoors, hanging out with her husband and watching Netflix! She hopes to create and maintain strong relationships with all employers to help Missouri S&T students land their dream job!

Student Service Coordinator
Meagan Jackson obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University in December of 2014, and her Master of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Missouri S&T in May of 2018. In August of 2018 Meagan joined the COER team as one of the Student Service Coordinators. A few of her primary responsibilities are advising students/alumni in regards to any aspect of the job search, conducting practice interviews when requested, and facilitating professional development workshops. Outside of COER, Meagan enjoys being outdoors, making new memories with her daughter and is an avid concert goer.
Student Service Coordinator
Caroline (Carrie) Nowell joined COER in August 2018. Before joining the advising team, Carrie worked in college recruiting, market research and military career programming. As a Student Service Coordinator, Carrie is responsible for reviewing student resumes and cover letters, conducting mock interviews, and leading professional development presentations. She is a proud Army spouse and alumna of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (go Niners!).
Anthony obtained his B.S. in Information Science & Technology at Missouri S&T in 2013. His well-rounded work experience is a combination of Entrepreneurship, Networking & Communications, IT Helpdesk and Business Analysis. During and following his undergraduate degree, he worked at St. James Winery for 4 years, lastly as a Sales Planning Manager (Business Analyst). Anthony joined the COER team in Fall 2015.
Experiential Learning Specialist
Sammatha Wilcox joined the Career Opportunities & Employer Relations team in April, 2014. One of her goals is to facilitate relationships between student organizations and employers. Before joining COER, Sammatha worked in the Residential Life department on the Missouri S&T campus. The area of focus was on family housing options. Sammatha has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services.
