A resume should be updated each semester & have a proper ATS-friendly format. 

  • Utilize BigInterview to have your resume reviewed by AI. This site will give a rundown of the readability, credibility, & format of your document.
    • Our COER resume templates are uploaded on this site, giving you access to updated, simple, & trustworthy resume guides.
  • You can also run your document through JobScan which is a similar site primarily used for checking the ATS searchability, technical skills, transferable skills, & formatting of your document for a particular job description.
  • Need additional help looking for an internship? Use Rezify to search for internships based on the qualifications on your resume!
  • Make an appointment with an advisor or come up to the COER floor as a walk-in to get your resume reviewed.

It is important to prepare for an interview to ensure confidence & understanding of the process.

  • Utilize BigInterview to practice common interview questions. AI will review your answers & give you feedback.
  • Visit our Career Closet if you do not have professional clothing to wear to the interview. Students are able to get one free outfit per semester.
  • Make an appointment with an advisor to conduct a mock interview. The process is meant to help students build interview skills in a judgement free space by building off of the knowledge a student already has!

Students are limited to 20 hour of part-time on-campus work per week during the academic year. International students are only eligible for on-campus employment unless they are applying for an internship or co-op experience and filing for CPT.
