Miner Mingle 2019 - Reverse Career Fair
“A NETWORKING EVENT LIKE NO OTHER”
All employer representatives attending the Fall Career Fair are also invited to register for the NEW Miner Mingle – Reverse Career Fair to be held on Monday, September 23rd, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Each Academic Department/Program, Student Diversity Organization, Student Design Team and Honorary/Academic Student Organization will have a booth set up to showcase their departments. Students will be networking around the booths/areas where they most identify. Employers will have the chance to walk around and network with students and faculty in a more casual setting while targeting the populations that that they are currently recruiting, potentially connecting with students that may not have initially planned to visit their booth at the Career Fair.
No resumes allowed.
The goal of this event is to provide students more face-to-face networking opportunities with employers while allowing employers a chance to learn more about what the departments are focusing on and the projects and ideas Missouri S&T students are participating in. We anticipate hundreds of students being present throughout the evening. Students should dress in business casual and should plan to wear department or team polos. Music and refreshments provided.
When: September 23rd, 2019 (Evening before the Career Fair), 5-7pm
Where: Outdoor Event at the Havener Parking Lot (Indoor Rain Backup)
Who: All Employer Representatives, All Students, All Faculty invited
The Etiquette Dinner is open to all students (freshman through graduate). It includes a 5 course meal where all of the fundamentals of proper dining etiquette will be explained. This is excellent training to have before dining with a potential employer. Reservations are limited based on space available. Transportation is not provided by the university or COER. There is a $15 reservation fee that is applied to your student account to cover partial cost of the meal. (COER covers 50% of the meal costs to subsidize the training.) Reservations cancelled after the RSVP date and no-shows will be subject to an additional $15 fee to cover the full cost of the meal.
