Finding the right students to hire can be a daunting task. At S&T, we'll guide you through the process and help you find a perfect fit. As an employer, taking part in co-ops, internships and externships can help build a trusting relationship between your company and our students that can empower achievement and ready them for the workplace before they graduate.

Co-ops

Students work full-time co-ops for one or for a combination of semesters, such as spring/summer or summer/fall, which allows 8-9 months of work experience. Co-ops are eligible for pay and academic credit.

Employer Agreement

Internships

Internships are summer only, degree-related employment. Internships are eligible for pay and academic credit.

Externships

Job Shadows are not eligible for pay or academic credit. Students work in a corporate setting for 1-5 days during Winter 219 (January 2-12).

Information Session Request

View Biography

After completing her B.S. in Animal Sciences from Missouri State, and working in diverse industries – from insurance to agriculture – Sara found COER as her home base in 2006. Sara loves working with students and staff, but her favorite part of her job is forming friendships with employers over the years. Her primary roles are acting as administrator for Handshake, scheduling on-site interviews, responding to the diverse needs of employers, coordinating the Career Fair, and reporting employer recruit annually and end-of-semester. Sara is a 19th century history buff who loves to be outside doing yard work and landscaping. She is also an avid fan of AMC’s The Walking Dead.
